Born and raised in China, my love for art began in childhood, sparked by the beautifully illustrated classic fairy tale books my father brought home. Encouraged by my artistically inclined dad, I studied traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy from a young age.
Though I pursued journalism in university and spent over a decade working as a translator in the non-profit sector, those years were formative. Traveling extensively and experiencing diverse cultures broadened my worldview and deeply influenced my creative perspective.
After becoming a mother of two, I returned to painting — and it felt like coming home. I also immersed myself in learning print design, mastering tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and the art of surface pattern design. That journey led to the creation of Jun Shu Create, my own art and design studio.
Today, I specialize in creating delicate, light-filled patterns for fashion textiles, wallpaper, and home decor. My work is often described as calming, elegant, and inspired by the quiet beauty of nature.
Now based in Abu Dhabi after nearly a decade in Spain and Switzerland, I bring a global sensibility and heartfelt storytelling into every design.
